The web is infinite: blogs, websites, tutorial…there is a big amount of good stuff to check, and on a daily basis. As we cannot, unfortunately, read & absorb everything. We need to focus on some good sources.
Here’s  my 10 favorite:
1. So you want to learn Photoshop?
PHLEARN is what you are searching for, then. Aaron Nace is very good at Photoshop (obviously) and photography. He is also very comfortable in speaking in front of a camera and produces free tutorials, as well as PRO.
I can say that, after following several tutorials on the web, this is now my source number one!
2. Aperture, Speed, ISO? What is it?
Not yet comfortable with photography basis? DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOOL is there to help us. You will find several interesting articles on photography technique, gear and post processing.
I warmly suggest the Beginners section to all of you who just started and need to practice with camera, lighting, composition.
The thing I like the most about this website, is the related post section…I cannot stop reading and learning new things! 😉
3. I want to learn e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
That’s easy and totally reasonable! LYNDA.COM has every video tutorial you were searching for. Nothing else to add! 😉
4. I am more into design, 3D, typography…
Yeah, I know your type…you would like to have access to daily dose of design tips and inspiration, and possibly, for free. This is why CREATIVE BLOQ have been created for.
You can literally find tones of tips, inspiration and (free) sources to boost your design skills. I check it every day! 😉
5. I want to build a portfolio (and possibly make some money!).
Who doesn’t? 😉 99DESIGNS knows it well, and propose a website, where (I quote): “Our role is to provide a friendly, professional and secure environment where designers from all walks of life can find opportunity and compete on a level playing field – where they can show off their work, improve their skills, communicate with peers and win new clients.”
Basically, you want to build a portfolio? Register, take part to contests (logo, flyers, website, icons…), submit you work, grow your portfolio and maybe earn some money! Simple as that!
6. The one with the need of inspiration and portfolio (1)?
I know what you mean! Inspiration is fuel for creatives! 🙂 There are many (so many!) websites where you can find some inspirations. One that I often use is BEHANCE.
In this website, you can build your own portfolio, get appreciations,  share your work, gaining followers. And visibility. Behance is actually more than a website, it’s a community for all creatives in several fields. The Discover section is a huge source of inspiration!
7. The one with the need of inspiration and portfolio (2)?
FLICKR, flickr and again flickr! This is a must for all photographers. You don’t have a Flickr account? Do yourself a favor: get one asap! Start uploading your photos, sharing them into groups and have a look on other’s members work. And then you’ll say to yourself: why did I wait for so long?!
8. Do I have a fit brain to be a creator?
If you read BRAINPICKINGS, you are already at a good point. Brain Pickings is a human-powered discovery engine for interestingness, a subjective lens on what matters in the world and why, bringing you things you didn’t know you were interested in — until you are, as Maria Popova, the founder, says.
I suggest to everyone to subscribe to the Newsletter: it comes out on Sundays and offers the week’s best articles…a good way to finish (or start?) the week!
9. Inspiration, come to meeeee!
…or at least in my e-mail box once a day! Subscribe to EMAIL INSPIRATION, and you will see the magic happen! 😉
10. …and what about some nice templates (to speed up my work flow)?
We do not have always time to create everything from the beginning. On GRAPHIC RIVER you can purchase stock graphics and vectors, icon sets and Photoshop add-ons, as from 1$…pretty awesome, isn’t it?
I hope you found this article useful.Of course, there are many other sites, but I use more frequently those ones. Feel free to comment and share with us other sources.
